My Story
I am a writer and photographer who explores the rich tapestry of the human experience. My journey intertwines the tangible and the intangible, capturing emotions and memories through each click and every word. In my photography, I pursue the ephemeral dance of light, the profound silence of a gaze, and the raw poetry found in fleeting moments. In my writing, I weave narratives that resonate deeply, exploring themes of life, art, and the intricate connections that define us.
This website serves as a digital museum for my lights, moments, and words, where my two passions beautifully converge, creating a space for stories to be seen and images to be felt. I am committed to crafting works that offer both a visual and literary experience. Whether you visit to purchase an e-book, a photo print, or to gain a fresh perspective, I aim to foster a connection and help you discover a piece of yourself within these pages.
My Journey: Work & Life
With over 15 years of diverse experience across journalism, corporate communication, publishing, customer relations, and art administration, I am recognised for my significant contributions to Nigerian literature and youth development. A recipient of the UK Global Talent Visa for my exceptional impact on the literary arts, my work is dedicated to bridging creativity, media, and social impact.
I have authored five books, including my award-winning novel Devil’s Pawn and four poetry collections celebrated for their emotional sincerity, lyrical richness, and social awareness. My writing deeply engages with themes of trauma, masculinity, identity, and cultural memory, often reflecting my personal experiences. Driven by a passion for exploring the human narrative through both the written word and visual storytelling, I am currently crafting a new novel inspired by African mysticism and a poetry collection that examines the complexities of childhood trauma and fatherhood, while also capturing the beauty in everyday life through candid photography.
From my adopted hometown of Hatfield, England, I am developing Transitus, an upcoming UK Arts Magazine with the mission to showcase diasporan creatives globally, mirroring my own journey as a migrant, alongside Awesome Black People Photography, which celebrates the richness of black identity.
